It's 38 Kms far from the city takes about 1 hours drive from AIgra to Fatehpur Sikri. It was the capital of the Mughal Empire from 1571 to 1585 during the reign of Akbar in the Mughal Empire, then it was evacuated, probably due to lack of water. It was the kingdom of Sikarwar Rajput kings who later settled in the surrounding Kheragarh and Morena districts of Madhya Pradesh. Fatehpur Sikri is the best example of Muslim architecture. The Fatehpur Sikri Mosque is said to be a copy of the Mecca Mosque and its designs are taken from Hindu and Parsi architecture.
